Most invisible bugs that bite are not actually invisible. Bugs like bed bugs or fleas are tiny and can be hard to spot, but equally, your skin irritation may be caused by a damaged couch or mattress.
If your memory foam couch, mattress, pillow, or cushion cover is damaged, then exposed fiberglass or other fibers may cause itching, prickling, and irritation. Avoid handling a visibly torn mattress without protective clothing, and don’t move it through your home uncovered.
However, if you’re experiencing invisible bug bites, inspect seams, cushions, nearby baseboards, and the undersides of furniture for live insects, tiny, pale eggs, shed skins, dark, ink-like spots, or small blood marks.
Bed bugs are about the size of an apple seed when mature, but young nymphs can be much smaller and easier to miss. Their bites often appear as itchy red welts, sometimes in lines or clusters, although skin reactions vary widely.
A free inspection from Gregory Pest Solutions can help rule out bed bugs and provide the right solution for invisible biting bugs rather than treating the wrong problem.
